At Labyrinth we understand this very real concern, so the first thing our backup appliances do is encrypt your data with 4096-bit RSA encryption (that's double military grade), and the data remains encrypted at all times while being stored on the Appliance, on our servers, and in our archives. An encryption key which you keep is generated during the install process, which itself is encrypted with a password of your choice and saved onto a CDROM. This means that only people that have access to all three items - your encrypted data, the CDROM with your key and the password can access your data. All of our staff have also been security cleared by the Australian Police - copies of documents are available on request.
