It's just like a regular server
Each VPS from Labyrinth runs a ready-to-customise installation of Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, or CentOS and starts at 10 gigabytes of storage (with more available as a network file store). You get full, unfirewalled access to your own IP, as well as a complimentary name.ld.net.au. A number of linux distributions are available preinstalled on your VPS: Debian (latest stable, testing or unstable versions), Ubuntu (latest LTS and latest release), Gentoo or CentOS. We provide full email and phone support on all our VPS plans as well as custom OS installations, and you can opt for a free trial before you decide to commit to a plan - just let us know via email after you place your order.
Secure and Reliable
Our VPSes use hardware virtualisation to ensure that each server is completely separate from others, so other clients can't bring down your server with a system crash or access your data. All our physical servers are housed in multiple state-of-the-art datacentre facilities, each with redundant air conditioning, uninterruptible power supplies and generators. The facility is protected by biometric authentication, motion-detecting cameras and is staffed around the clock. We also provide an uptime SLA1 on all our VPS plans for your peace of mind.
Complete VPS management available
A complete VPS service is also available on our VPS plans. If you choose this option, your server is assigned to one of our system administrators whose job it is to liaise with you, setup your VPS to your specifications (including installing and configuring your application) and keep everything running smoothly, securely and up-to-date - up to three hours of work a month. Aside from offering a first point of contact, the administrator gets to know your particular application and can tune the system to suit your requirements. 1 VPS uptime is measured at the end of each month. Should our uptime over this period fall below 99.9% as measured by us we will credit the equivilent dollar value for that month of service to your account. You can view our current uptime/latency here. See our Terms of Service for details.
2 VPS bandwidth usage includes both inbound and outbound traffic. WAIX traffic from your VPS is not counted towards your quota.
3 If you choose this option, we will register the domain of your choice on your behalf and add it to your bill each period. This means only one invoice to deal with each billing period. We will require up-to-date contact information to supply to the domain registrar; this will be detailed during the signup process. Due to Australia's strict domain name regulations, Australian .com.au or .net.au domains will also require the applicable Australian business ABN, BRN or BN. Domain names must also be an exact match, acronym or abbreviation of the supplied business registration, or it should bear a close and substantial connection to the domain name.
For .org.au or .asn.au domains you must supply relevant charity or non-profit organisation details, and the domain must display a solid relationship to the charity it represents. .id.au domains are specifically for individuals, and you must also supply details proving that the domain you wish to register represents a solid link to your real name.
